Passed peacefully Friday, December 18, 2015 at age 59 with her family at her side. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Lois Servis. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, John; mother-in-law, Marion Schultz; daughters, Sarah (Michael) Mosher, Meghan (Toni) Vasilovski, Emily Schultz (Casey), Molly-Lynn; sister, Susan Servis- DeJohn; brother, Tod; brothers-in-law, Karl, Kris (Glynne), Donald (Kristine), Carol (Joel) Horowitz and nieces and nephews. Laurel was a registered Nurse with a Master's Degree in Nursing and Education which was a passion of hers. She worked and taught at many institutions in Rochester,specializing in labor and delivery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 26th from 2-4 and 6-8PM and on Sunday from 3-5PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., where Funeral Services will immediately follow calling hours at 5PM on Sunday. Private Interment.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd., Fairport, NY 14450, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Camp Good Days and Special Times, 1332 Pittsford Mendon Rd., P.O. Box 665, Mendon, NY 14506.
