It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Laurence “Larry” Geldner, who died peacefully on the morning of March 28, 2025, at Rochester Regional Hospital.
Larry is predeceased by his parents, Laurence and Norma Geldner, his wife Kimberly Ruscio Geldner, and several golden retrievers. He is survived my his brother, Kurt Geldner.
Since the loss of his beloved wife Kim, Larry had grown especially close to Kimberly’s family (Passero/Ladolce). We were blessed by Larry’s graciousness, humility, and deep kindness. He never failed to say thank you, to lend a helping hand, or to live his last days with quiet dignity. Despite personal hardship, he worked hard to recover from a major health setback earlier this year, and his resilience was an inspiration to all who knew him.
As we grieve his loss, we also honor his life and the beautiful qualities he lived out: thoughtfulness, respect, and a grateful heart. May we carry those with us.
We will be having a brief time of remembrance at the All Saints Mausoleum at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery on Tuesday, May 6 at 11:30am. We will then share a meal together at12pm at Hose 22 Firehouse Grill (56 Sutton St, Rochester NY 14612) Please join us, and RSVP so that our lunch buffet is appropriately sized.
