Greece: Passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013, at age 79. Born Sept. 25, 1933 in Buffalo to a 100% Italian American Catholic family. Married to Marie Vastola, nee San George. He practiced traditional family values. His early years were in north Buffalo. Graduated from University of Buffalo, in 1964, Relocated with family to Rochester in 1971 for an opportunity as a structural project engineer at Eastman Kodak Company supporting manufacturing operations
and facilities groups. Larry became a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the 1970's. Larry conducted PE review courses for the Rochester Professional Engineering Society and provided high school tutoring. Consulting private practice from 1990-2005. Taught several courses at MCC, corporate clients included Spancrete.
Larry was predeceased by his twin brother Donald, sister, Theresa,
parents, Frank and Mildred. He is survived by his loving wife Marie
Vastola, son Christopher, daughter Laura, granddaughters: Shana and
Dana, brother, James (Nora), sister Jane (Kevin) Hammann; sister in
law - Dorothy Vastola; brother in laws Louis (Nancy) San George and
George San George. Larry and Marie have been happily married since 1957. Their love and devotion to each other is what marriage should be. Nice memories of
skiing, family gatherings and vacations. After surviving cardiac and respiratory
arrest in 2005 the family truly enjoyed his humor and living ways,
every day. Larry enjoyed many passions, both active and passive. Tennis,
skiing, travel, education and helping others.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Benincasa
House for the loving care given to Larry during his illness.
Larry was a United States Army Veteran who served his country during
the Korean War.
There will be no prior calling hours. Larry's Funeral Mass will be celebrated
Sat., Jan 26th at 10:00 AM at St. Lawrence Church, 1000 North
Greece Rd., Rochester, NY. Memorial contributions may be directed
