Rochester: July 10, 2014 at age 88 surrounded by his loving family. He is predeceased by his first wife, Mary A. Survived by his loving wife, Bessie; children, Leonard (Susan), Joanne (Patrick) Davlin, Joseph, William and David; grandchildren, Sheila (Rich), Melissa (David), Timothy (Christy) and Alicia; great-grandchildren, ToniLyn, Isaac, Mikayla and Joey; sister, Mary Bergen; several nieces and nephews.
Leonard was a WWII Army Veteran. Leonard and Bessie were recipients of the 2010 Volunteer of the Year Award for service at Rochester General Hospital. He was a longtime parishioner of St. James Church. Special thank you to the caregivers and staff at Rochester General Hospital and the Leo Center for Caring.
Friends and family may call Monday, July 14th, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. His Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, July 15th, 10:30 AM at Peace of Christ Parish at St. James, 130 Brett Road, Rochester, NY. Interment, Irondequoit Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rochester General Hospital Foundation.
