Passed February 10, 2024 at the age of 79.

Predeceased by his parents Essia Mae (Johnnie Elal) Applewhite & Lewis Hurd; & sister, Loretta King.

Survived by his children, Vonschila Hurd, Justin (Veronica) Applewhite, Jessica Applewhite, & Lucinda Applewhite; grandchildren, Marquita Smith, Adonis Hurd, Augusta Powell, Zechariah Applewhite, Luis Hernandez Jr., Ky'rie Glasgow, Victoria Applewhite, & Justin Applewhite Jr.; siblings, Verlean Conners, Joanne Smith, Brenda Wilson, Linda Stuart, Dearis Elam, Brenda Asberry, Tajuana Fleming, Carl Elam, Reginald Elam, Felix Elam, Ray Sims, Stephen Elam; & many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, & friends.

Lil loved going to church.. He loved working before retiring. He was an avid dancer. He enjoyed buying nice things, like jewelry, shoes, & tuxedos. Lil loved his family & church family. He was a baseball fan. He loved western television shows. Lil also loved food especially barbecue & soul food.

Calling hours will be Wednesday March 13, 10-11am with services following at 11am at Aenon Missionary Baptist Church, 175 Genesee St, Rochester, NY 14611.
