Rochester: Passed peacefully after a long, courageous battle with Alzheimer's, Saturday, March 10, 2012, at age 78. Predeceased by Shirley (Robert) Maples, Stephen Toland, Simone & Sasha Crawford. She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Kenneth J. Boss; daughters, Kathleen (John) Conely, Karen Boss (Scott Yantz), Kimberly Toland, Karol (Bob) Downs, Kristine (Richard) Harris, Koreen (Donny) Germano, Konstance Boss (Elliott Bobbe), Karla Marvin; 36 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; siblings, Morris (Dorie) Gruver, Patrick (Dorothy) Gruver, Jane (Richard) Laurer, Sandra Gruver (Tom McNeal); many nieces & nephews; aunt, Gertrude Smith.
Lillian enjoyed sewing, square dancing, gardening and many years leading her Brownies.
Family will receive friends 4-8 PM Thursday at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., where a Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Friday. Donations in Lillian's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 435 East Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620.
