Rochester:
Passed away on Thursday June 23rd, 2016
Predeceased by her Parents Floyd and Margaret Adams, Husband Aldo Francati D.D.S.
Beloved mother of son, Todd (Julie) Kiley, and daughter, Kathleen (Bill) King, along with numerous friends.
In her younger years, Linda was a former Kodak model and served as the bookkeeper for the family business, SMADA. While raising her two young children, she later became a dental assistant. She worked on and chaired numerous committees for Seton, Rochester Area Multiple Sclerosis, Casa Italiana at Nazareth College, the Mary Cariola Center, and the Pittsford Women's Republican Club.
Linda travelled the world and had a constant desire to absorb knowledge. She always approached anything that she did with artistic flair and an incredible sense of fashion. She was a champion of garage sales and never paid full price for anything due to her love of coupons. Her friends and family lovingly called her "Martha Stewart."
She was a lover of beaches and the water, often gleefully picking up seashells, seaglass and rocks. She spent many summers on Canandaigua Lake, often antiquing or garage saling, picking berries, and making jam. She loved gardening and flowers, particularly pansies and orchids. She used to go to the Public Market or the nearest farmer's market to see what plants and other goodies she could find.
She was a fan of reading, frequently going to the library to check out the latest James Patterson mystery. She worked hard, was fiercely independent, and instilled a strong work ethic in her children by often saying, "if you want help, look at the end of your sleeve."
Linda had a tremendous sense of humor, sometimes acting like a kid just to make you laugh. She had a love of movies, including old movies anything with Bette Davis and Alfred Hitchcock. She also loved old sci fi and horror movies and T.V. shows, which also rubbed off on her children. She was once late to the Seton Ball because she was watching Star Trek! Her former husband Ron, once called her Mighty Mouse and that was exactly who she was.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family
