Rochester: Entered into rest on Friday, December 14, 2012 at age 80. He is survived by his children, Rae L. (Richard) Menke, Alan A. (Maureen) Fairbanks, Scott R. (Cathy) Fairbanks; 4 grandchildren, Carly, Alexis, Ryan and Nicole. Loren was born in Rochester, NY and raised in Kings Ferry, NY. After graduating in 1956 from Cornell University School of Architecture, he was employed in Rochester, NY by the late Cyril T. Tucker. Loren was made full partner in the firm, Tucker and Fairbanks in 1964, and continued as owner from 1981 until recently. He was involved in over 800 residential and commercial projects over a career spanning 56 years. Married for 47 years to Mary G. Greer to whom he would be forever devoted until her passing in 2005. Loren served as Deacon at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, a Mason in the Yonnondio Lodge #163, an accomplished bowler for many years and a fisherman to all who knew him.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 22 from 2-5 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., where funeral services will immediately follow calling hours at 5:00 PM. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Loren's name to the American Diabetes Foundation.
