Rochester: Louise Folker Sullivan, 91, of Rochester, passed away on Sunday April 12, 2015 at the Episcopal Home, Mt. Hope Avenue.
She was born on June 20, 1923 in Rochester at her Parent's home above their Thurston Road bakery. A daughter of the late Herman and Catharine Folker (Fokker) who immigrated from Holland in 1907, and predeceased by her brothers Herman Folker Jr., Frederick Folker, and Robert Folker and her sister Catherine Strike.
Louise was a graduate of West High School and graduated from the University of Rochester Nursing School in 1948. She was a beloved Mother who raised her children in Fairport, NY with grace, endurance and an endless well of patience. She enjoyed her garden, two cats, and was an avid bowler and bridge player over the years.
Louise is survived by her 5 children; daughters, Deborah Blanchard and husband Andre of Rochester, NY, Patricia Sullivan Moore and husband Gary of Phoenix, AZ, Amy Sullivan of Victor, NY, sons Michael Sullivan and wife Adelfa of Las Vegas, NV, Barry Sullivan and wife Ann Marie of Charlotte, NC. Surviving grandchildren are Laura Monnat, Jonathan Monnat, Zachary Sullivan, Joseph Sullivan, Grace Sullivan and Patrick Sullivan.
Louise's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 21 at 1:00 at The Mary Magdalene Church, 1008 Main Street, East Rochester. The Reverend Denise Donato will officiate.
