Gates: After his valiant battle with cancer, he passed peacefully Tuesday August 7, 2012 at age 74. He was predeceased by his parents, Carmen & Vincenza Conti; brother, Frank Conti. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Gloria; his 2 sons, Richard (Marybeth) & Robert (Aurora) Conti; grandchildren, Patrick, Michaela, Bobby; sisters, Tina Amore, Joann Papalardo, Pinucia Canale; brother, Sam (Linda) Conti; niece, Alicia (John) Dallacardillo; and several nieces, nephews and cousins in Italy and many, many friends. Luciano was a retiree of Hickey Freeman after 47 years of service, was an avid soccer fan and he loved his family and grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Lipson Cancer Center, Visiting Nurse Services, Palliative Center For Caring 4th Floor and a special thanks to Jackie Coates and heartfelt gratitude to Deborah Williams.
The family will receive friends Friday August 10th from 5-8 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. Luciano's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 11:15 at St. Theodore's Church, 168 Spencerprot Road. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Visiting Nurse Service, 1580 Empire Blvd. Webster, NY 14580.
