Lucinda K. Searfoss

Lucinda Katheryn (O’Hare) Searfoss, aged 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 14, 2024 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. She was born on August 6, 1941 in Indiana, Pennsylvania.  

Cindy raised her family in Westchester county before returning to the greater Rochester area in the late 1990’s. She worked in various business roles at Holiday Inn, Gestetner, Firenze Leather Goods and Lifespan. 

Cindy was very outgoing and enjoyed travel, museums, reading, music and theater. Her faith, family and beloved dog, Tallulah were her biggest passions. A friend to many, she was a cherished member of the community in the Brockport and Rochester area leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Fern Spink; step father, Elon Spink and brother, Patrick O’Hare.

Cindy is survived by her son Darren (Melissa) Kane and their children Terra, Katie and James; son Garrett (Kelli) Kane and their children Alexa and Mason; her sister, Susan Brodner; brother, Tom (Margaret) Spink; nieces and nephews, Tammy (Kevin) Charbonneau, Terry (Elise) Stefl, Adam (Jill) Spink, Hannah Spink and Evan (Marrinna) Spink, along with several great nieces and nephews and countless friends who felt her warmth and generosity.

In honoring Cindy’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to her celebration of life at the Church of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 152 Main St, Brockport, NY 14420 at 1pm on Tuesday September 17th, 2024.
