M. Joy Weissend

Passed away on November 5, 2026 at the age of 100.

Predeceased by her husband, Homer Denton Weissend; parents Frank and Mettie Smith; and many more loving relatives.

She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Ron) Hendershot and Janet Weissend; 4 grandsons and 6 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Joy was a very remarkable woman. Most of all she loved her family and they loved her. All her relatives and friends were such an important part of her life. She will be remembered for her unconditional love and caring heart. Her family greatly appreciates all of the special caretakers at Village at Towngate (Greece, NY), Unity Hospital and Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center. Joy's life is worth remembering.
