In 1971 they were stationed in the Philippines, where son Richard Salter was born. The next stations were in Texas, Germany, New York.

In Rochester NY she worked as a Resident Services Associate for Rochester Management at the University of Rochester for 31 years.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Salter and Richard Newman, her sister Mechtilde Brues, brother-in-law William Kee III.

Survived by her children, Robert (Sarah) Salter, Richard Salter (Michelle), grandchildren Savannah and Briannah, her sister Elisabeth Fromm, brother Klaus (Rosa) Seeger and brother-in-law Wolfgang Brues, sister-in-law Carol Turner, German and American nieces, nephews and cousins.

She loved life, the adventure of it, travel, photography, people and before all, God.
