Marian Reome Thieme
Rochester: Passed January 31st ,2015, 13 days after her 106th birthday, in the house she loved and lived in for 75 years. She was a lifelong resident of Rochester, witnessing many societal changes throughout her long life. She fondly recalled as a child running after the horse and wagon delivering ice in order to pet the horse and receive her free sample of a sliver ice.
Marian is survived by her daughter and caregiver, Gail Thieme Kelly and son William (Phyllis) of Pittsford, also 4 grandchildren: Cheryl Safford (Doug) of Vermont,Douglas Thieme (Kim) of Irondequoit, Kristin Thieme (John Curran) of Pittsford and Heidi (Brad) Hollowell of Pittsford: 6 great grandchildren: Cole, Emma, Owen Thieme, Fisher Curran, Imogen and Hudson Hollowell, special friend, Micki Diegel, niece and nephew in Illinois and Michigan. Marian was predeceased by her gentle husband Harry in 1984 and brothers Leonard, Howard and Elwood Reome. Marian was the daughter of Isabelle Walzer Reome and William Reome and granddaughter of John George and Adelle Langie Walzer early settlers of Irondequoit.
Memorial service Saturday, May 30 at St. Ambrose Church,11AM
