Marie Tarricone, born on November 13, 1936, in the vibrant city of Rochester, New York, departed this world on April 21, 2025, at Elderwood of Lakeside, leaving behind a legacy woven with fond memories and passions that enriched her life and the lives of others.
A woman of remarkable talents, Marie was not only an accomplished equestrian who reveled in the beauty of raising and showing horses across Monroe County; she was also a skilled rider whose finesse extended to various disciplines including dressage, western, and English riding. Her devotion to her craft was exemplified by her remarkable ability to restore an old Amish doctor's cart, transforming it into one of her cherished buggies. This artistic soul enjoyed winter more than most, often delighting her family with horse-drawn sleigh rides through the picturesque landscapes, where laughter and joy punctuated the serene winter wonderlands.
In addition to her equestrian pursuits, Marie was an athlete who excelled in the bowling community, participating in Pro-Am tournaments throughout the city. Her competitive spirit found further expression in her love for cross-country skiing and golfing, where each swing of the club or glide through the snow reflected her zest for life and the outdoors.
A culinary enthusiast, Marie was well-acquainted with the joys of cooking and baking, often inviting family and friends to gather around her table during the holidays. It was in these moments, filled with smiles and delicious aromas, that her loved ones could feel the warmth of her hospitality and her deep-seated love for entertaining.
Marie is survived by her adoring children: Arthur Tarricone, Stephanie Faulks, Steven (Jacqueline) Tarricone, and Carl Tarricone. She leaves behind a legacy enriched by the laughter of ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, as well as the love of her brother, Nicholas (Carolyn) Mangini, and many nieces and nephews.
She has been reunited in eternal rest with her beloved husband, Arthur, who predeceased her, and the memory of their time together will forever be cherished by all who knew them.
Services celebrating Marie's life will be held at Saint Lawrence Roman Catholic Church 1000 N Greece Rd, Rochester, NY, on Monday, April 28, 2025. A Mass will commence at 9:30 AM, followed by an entombment at Riverside Cemetery.
