Rochester:Went home to her Lord and Saviour on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at age 99. Mary was born on April 18, 1915 and was preceded in death by her parents, Abraham and Laura DeHond, and husband John T. Koester. She is survived by her son, Glenn (Jama) Koester; daughter, Barbara (Dennis) Burdette; granddaughters, Rebekah Burdette, Cheryl L. Koester and Sara (Jakshylyk) Urmatbek. Mary was an expert craftswoman and was widely known for exqusite and crocheted creations. She was a longtime member of Northridge Baptist Church, and will be remembered as a quiet, loving, kind, and mighty presence of God.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, April 6th at 11AM at the Chapel of St. John's Home, 150 Highland Ave.
