Peacefully Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at age 82. She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel and son, John. She is survived by her sons, Daniel Jr. (Mary), Michael (Terry), Matthew (Charmagne), Patrick (Robin); daughter, Sheila
(Dennis)Zimmerman; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister in law, Mary(Joseph) DiDomenico; brothers, The Rev. P. Paul Brennan,John (Mary) Brennan, Sr.; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Attracta was a retired Teacher of the Rochester City School District. She taught at schools 52 and 44 and was a member of St. Ambrose Immaculate Conception and St. Jerome's Parishes.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 10th from 3-7PM at The New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. Attracta's Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11AM at St. Jerome Church, 207 Garfield St., East Rochester. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Auburn, NY will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contribuitons may be directed to Flower City Habitat for Humanity, 755 Culver Rd., Rochester, NY 14609, or to Hospice of Rochester, Lifetime Care (Advent House), 3111 Winton Road South, Rochester, New York 14623.
