Mary Ellen Zapf (Fitzak)
Greece: Passed peacefully Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at age 80. Predeceased by husband, Jerome "Jerry" Zapf, Jr.; parents, John and Anna Fitzak; brother, Nicholas Fitzak; brother-in-law, William Zapf.
She is survived by her children, Stephen (Kate), Mathew (Pattie), Laurie (Greg), Christine (Mark); grandchildren, Heather, Daniel (Lisa), Andrew, Kelly, Jessica, Jeremy, Jeffrey, Steven and Courtney; sister-in-law, Elaine Zapf; several nieces, nephews; great-nieces and nephews; cousins and special friends.
Mary Ellen was a devoted mother and member of Our Lady of Mercy and St. Charles Borromeo Churches.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, August 3rd from 4-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, August 4th at 10AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Ave. Private Interment.
