Waltersdorf, Mary Styleades
Rochester: Age 86, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012. Mary was the daughter of the late Dimitri and Anastasia Styleades who immigrated from Greece. Mary attended Madison High School and Rochester Business Institute. Later, she worked at General Adjustment Bureau where she met her late husband Albert Waltersdorf. They shared a home together in Irondequoit. Mary was an active member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church where she sang in the choir, and taught Sunday School. She belonged to Delta Phi and kept in touch with the other members throughout the years. Mary always enjoyed spending time with her family, remained strong in her faith, and always enjoyed a game of Scrabble.
Mary had four sisters: The late Olga Joseph, and is survived by Jennie Mickles, Alexandra (Sana) and husband Paul Vangellow, Olympia (Bea) and husband Harry Stathe. She has three children: Robert and wife Susan Waltersdorf, William Waltersdorf, and Patricia and husband Brian Krum.
Mary was also blessed with three Grandchildren: Kevin Waltersdorf, Kelly and husband Michael Klyn, and Kurt and wife Carrie Waltersdorf. She was delighted with her great grand-daughter Emma Waltersdorf. There are also many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call TODAY January 12, 2012 3-7 pm at New Comer Funeral Home 6 Empire Blvd. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 13, at 11:30 at All Season's Chapel White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Ann's home whose staff were a constant comfort in her recent years.
