Mary K. Zadorozny passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026, surrounded by the love of her three children. Mary was the devoted mother of Lisa (Chris) Monroe, John Zadorozny, and Jennifer (Ryan) Stoffer.

She was a proud and loving grandmother to Benjamin and Jarret Monroe, Alex Zadorozny, and Ella Stoffer, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy.

She is also survived by her cherished sister, Elizabeth Allen, Nieces Julie Cecile, Kathleen Allen, Susan Metzger. Nephews D. Mathew Allen and Andrew Allen. Countless dear friends, Maryann, Debbie, Ed, Janet, Jillian, Sharon, Stephanie, Bryant, Khan and Noel whom she considered family. Mary lived a life defined by kindness, compassion, generosity, and an unwavering dedication to others. Teaching was more than a career, it was her calling.

She devoted 38 years to the Rochester City School District, inspiring generations of young learners with patience, encouragement, and the belief that every child deserved to feel valued. Even after retirement, Mary continued volunteering at her beloved School #22 until the young age of 85, where she found great joy in helping children learn and grow.

Those who knew Mary knew someone who was always ready to lend a helping hand. She gave freely of her time, wisdom, and heart, never seeking recognition or expecting anything in return, believing that caring for others was simply the right thing to do.

Her legacy lives on in the countless students whose lives she touched, the friendships she nurtured, and the family she cherished above all else. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, quiet strength, warm smile, and generous heart. Her memory will forever be a blessing, and the love and kindness she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends 4-7pm Thursday August 13, 2026 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd. (corner of Culver Rd.)

Please assemble Friday morning at 10am for Mary's memorial mass at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish, Christ the King Church, 445 Kings Hwy S, Rochester, NY 14617. Interment is private.
