Marylou Colon

Marylou Colon, born April 12, 1979, in Rochester, passed away on October 11, 2026, at Strong Memorial Hospital. She will be remembered with deep love and sorrow by those who knew her, and with lasting gratitude by the family whose lives were shaped by her presence.

At the heart of Marylou’s life was her family. She is survived by her mother, Luz Maldonado, and step-father, Ivan Maldonado; by her father, Nelson Colon; and by her daughters, Sabrina and Katrina Colon, and Ava and Adrianna Vega. She is also survived by her brothers, Nelson Colon and Alberto Diaz, and by her sister, Virginia Campbell. In every shared memory and family bond, Marylou leaves behind a love that will continue to be carried forward by those closest to her.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance on October 23, 2026, for visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at New Comer Funeral Home, Westside, 2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, New York. A funeral service will follow there from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place afterward at Riverside Cemetery, 2560 Lake Avenue, Rochester, New York.

Marylou’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
