Greece: Dr. King passed away peacefully after an extended illness on December 10, 2014 at the age of 67. He is predeceased by his mother, Gladys; brothers, Spencer, Alvin, twin brother Douglas "Marvin", Fred. He is survived by his loving Aunt "Mother", Myrtle King; caring wife of 36 years, Carolyn; children, K. Marlene (Gary) Yanni, Camille (Michael) Giannelli, Monique King and Carlson King; grandchildren, Kloee, Mason and Austin; brothers, Henry, Milton, Richard; sisters, Evon and Renee; and many nieces and nephews.

Melvin was a Captain and General Medical Officer with the US Army. He received his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University. He was a Fellow of American College of Emergency Physicians and Boarded in Emergency Medicine. Past Director of the Emergency Department at Unity Hospital (formerly Park Ridge Hospital) and Medical Director and Proprietor of Quality Walk-In Medical Care, Greece, NY.

Friends and family may call Thursday, December 18th, 4-8 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Edna Tina Wilson Living Center, 700 Island Cottage Road, Rochester, NY 14612 in Dr. King's name.
