Michael Delgatti

Passed away on July 31, 2026 at the age of 94.

Predeceased by his wife, Marie Delgatti; parents, Ernest & Margaret Delgatti; siblings, Louise Hoffarth, Carl Delgatti, & Roger Delgatti.

He is survived by his sons, Scott (Karen) Delgatti, and their children, Scotty (Joelle), Jamie (Matthew) Merrick, Andrew (Jaclyn) and Brad; Todd (Sue) Delgatti, and their children, Carli (Chris) Cavanaugh, Lindsi (Josh) Figler & Pam (Rick) Menke; & Rand (Alison) Delgatti, and their children, Mick, Ryan (Channing), Julia (Michael) Batiste; many great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A 1950 graduate of Madison High School, he was a standout athlete in football, basketball, and baseball, ultimately drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals professional baseball organization. He married his high school sweetheart, Marie Lighthouse, and together they shared 65 wonderful years of love and devotion. After serving his country for two years in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, he returned home to build a 35-year career at Eastman Kodak Company. A gifted athlete well beyond his school days, he played for the Kodak fast-pitch softball team before later developing a passion for golf, becoming a true connoisseur of the game. His athletic accomplishments earned him induction into both the Rochester Softball Hall of Fame and the Section V Football Hall of Fame. While he took great pride in these achievements, nothing meant more to him than his beloved wife, his three sons, his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who remained the center of his life. Because of his relationship with Jesus Christ, he was given peace and comfort knowing that he will be spending eternity in heaven with the Lord. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
