Michael Harris

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Harris, a cherished father, grandfather. brother, and friend. who left this world peacefully at his home on May 21, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on January 5, 1952, in Rochester, NY, Michael was a beacon of light and warmth to all who knew him.

Michael was the beloved son of Robert and Marguerite Harris, who instilled in him a deep sense of compassion and integrity. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Diane Harris, his daughter, Lori Rizzo, his brother, John Harris, and his sister, Barbara Vittum. Despite these profound losses, Michael's indomitable spirit and faith never wavered.

He is survived by his daughters, Kristine Harris Tilley and Ashley (Jon) Shultis, Christine (Donna) Dutton, Donna Dutton and his son, Michael (Chelsea) Goly, who were his pride and joy. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter to his cherished grandchildren - ten granddaughters and one grandson--who were the apples of his eye. Michael also leaves behind his dear siblings, Carol Kukla, Sharon Rosenborg, and Charlie (Donna) Harris, who were his lifelong companions and confidants.

Michael's life was a testament to his unwavering faith and dedication to spreading the word of Christ. A devoted disciple of Jesus, he committed his life to reaching out to the lost and bringing joy and hope to his church family and the broader community. His presence was a blessing to all, and he was deeply loved and respected by those who walked the spiritual journey alongside him.

In his leisure, Michael found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid treasure hunter, often seen exploring antique malls, thrift stores, and estate sales, always on the lookout for hidden gems. His love for storytelling and his quick wit could light up any room, leaving those around him with smiles and laughter. He was a man who wore his heart on his sleeve, and his affection for his grandchildren was unparalleled, as he cherished every moment spent wit them.

Michael's life will be celebrated in a private ceremony, where family and close friends will gather to honor the incredible life he lived and the indelible mark he left on their hearts

Though he has departed from this world, Michael Harris's legacy endures in the lives he touched and the love he so freely gave. May he rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love of his Savior and reunited with those he cherished dearly.
