Born in Rochester NY; June 23, 1942. To parents Anthony, and Mary(Gigliotti) Stupia.
Predeceased by brothers; Frank, Anthony and Frederick, survived by his sister, Frances Oddo.
Michael “Mike” will be remembered as a devoted family man, a steady provider, and someone who never missed an opportunity to bring a smile to those around him. A proud graduate of Irondequoit High School, Class of 1961, Mike went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Army from 1964 to 1970.
Throughout his career, Mike worked across many retail properties, building a reputation for his strong work ethic before retiring at the age of 67. While he took pride in his work, his greatest joy in life was his family-especially the time he spent watching his grandchildren grow up around him. Those moments meant everything to him.
Mike had a big sense of humor and a personality that made everyday life a little brighter. He was an avid Yankees fan and loved catching Red Wings games. He enjoyed spending time at Wegmans, never in a rush, often taking in the simple moments of a busy day. Mike also had a true appreciation for a good pair of shoes-something that came full circle, as it was through selling shoes that he met the love of his life. At home, he kept busy with his many “home improvement” projects-some more successful than others, as he would have admitted with a laugh.
In his quieter moments, Mike enjoyed watching baseball, and nothing made him happier than a good nap alongside his loyal dog, Pancho.
Mike’s life was one of love, laughter, and dedication to those closest to him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife Debra (Thomas) Stupia of 48 years, his children; John Stupia, Lisa Stupia, Jason Stupia, Alana(Aslan) Sweeney, Philip(DeAnna) Stupia, and 7 grandchildren; Samantha, Nicholas, Evan, Anthony, Carmen, Griffin and Vaida.
He will truly be missed, - “be cool stay in school-Mike”
