Yanko, Michael
Greece: Passed peacefully Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 at age 101. He
is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 77 years Virgina. Son,
Richard (Leslie) Yanko, daughter Mary Ellen (Dick) Maas. Grandchildren,
Michael, David (Gulgun), Scott (Kelly), Brian (Kera),
Stephanie. Great Grandchildren, Korai,
Yeshim, Esme, Mackenzie, Michael, Kaylee & Riley. Many
nieces, nephews & neighbor Karen Maras & beloved dog Mickey.
Michael was a 37 year retiree of The Rochester City Fire Dept. and
the oldest living Fireman in Rochester, NY.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Sept. 25 from 4-7PM at
the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. Michael's
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 AM at St. Jude
The Apostle Church 4100 Lyell Rd. Entombment in White Haven Memorial
Park will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be
directed to a charity of the donors choice.
