Molly B. Carney, a beloved wife, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on October 20, 2025, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. Born on May 24, 1953, in Rochester, she lived a life filled with joy, love, and cherished memories that will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Molly is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Timothy, who has not only been her partner through life's journeys but also her closest confidant and friend. Together, they shared a bond that was an inspiring testament to love—one that flourished over nearly four decades and brought joy to all who knew them. In addition to her husband, Molly is survived by her brother, John Battista, and her sisters, Helen (Lou) Rico, Patti, and Trish, who was like a daughter to Molly and Tim, along with her cherished children, Madison, Caden, and Kendall. Each of her family members holds a special place in her heart, and they are left with a beautiful legacy of love, laughter, and adventure.
Molly's zest for life was palpable, and one of her greatest joys included the trips to the casino, where she created memories filled with excitement and camaraderie. Her laughter and infectious spirit drew people in and made them feel cherished, resulting in numerous friendships that enriched her life.
She was predeceased in death by her loving parents, Pat and Helen (Pukish) Battista. Their guidance and support were the foundation upon which Molly built her life, and their memories will continue to inspire her family.
Molly's life will be celebrated in a viewing on October 29, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY.
