Rochester: Passed suddenly July 1, 2014 after 101 beautiful years with her family at her side.
She is predeceased by her husband, Hubert, and mother, Anne Hurley.
She is survived by her children, Paul (Linda), Joanne (Phillip) Nicolai and Hubert (Sheila).
Her grandchildren, Jenny Speranza M.D., Brian and Todd Speranza, Christopher and Michael Nicolai and Timothy, Kimberly and Andrew McCrossen; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was born Naomi Stambaugh in Maryland, she moved to Rochester at the age of 7 with her family. The youngest of 14 children, she attended School 35 and later Monroe High School.
Naomi was always an avid reader and taught herself to play piano by ear when she was very young. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and cuddling on the couch with her cat Sweetie Pie.
Family will receive friends on Sunday 7-9 at New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11AM at the funeral home.
