Norbert cherished time spent in the outdoors, finding peace and enjoyment in hunting and fishing. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life—cooking for family and friends, organizing barbecues, and savoring the company of his loved ones. These gatherings were often filled with laughter, stories, and the unmistakable sense of togetherness that Norbert’s presence fostered.
He was a man whose personality lit up every room he entered. Always ready with a joke or a smile, Norbert’s humor had a way of lifting spirits and brightening days. Those who knew him best recall how he made everyone feel welcome and valued, and how his willingness to lend a helping hand was a constant comfort and support.
Norbert’s legacy will be carried forward by those he leaves behind. He is survived by his son, Norbert Mundt III, and his daughter, Nikkea Mundt. He was the proud grandfather to Allie Niggli, Ace Niggli, Axel Niggli, and Robbert Mundt, each of whom brought him immense joy. Norbert’s sister, Betsy Meisenzahl, and her husband, Joe Meisenzahl, as well as his brothers, Bill Mundt and Ed Mundt, and their wives, Lisa Mundt and Cindy Mundt, along with his sister Debbie Mundt, mourn his loss. Norbert was also fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, each touched by his unique warmth and humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert Mundt Sr. and Edna Mundt (Smith), and by his grandchild, Autumn Niggli.
Those who loved Norbert will remember his quick wit, his unwavering generosity, and the laughter he so freely gave. The memories built over campfires, the stories shared over meals, and the smiles he inspired will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
