Pablo Agron, a cherished soul whose laughter and love resonated through the hearts of all who knew him, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026, in Rochester, New York. Born on March 2, 1944, in Anasco, Puerto Rico, Pablo’s life was a testament to the enduring strength of family, friendship, and the joy found in simple, heartfelt moments.
For many years, Pablo dedicated his talents and his spirit to The Distillery in Rochester, where he was known not only for his hard work but for the warmth and kindness he shared with colleagues and patrons alike. His presence was a bright light in the workplace, a beacon of camaraderie and good cheer that left an indelible mark on the community.
Pablo’s true happiness, however, could often be found beneath his favorite tree, where he would sit surrounded by friends, immersing himself in the vibrant rhythms of Mexican music. This was his sanctuary, a place where laughter mingled with melody, and friendships were nurtured under the canopy of rustling leaves.
His legacy lives on through his beloved daughters, Lisa Agron and Wanda Merced, who carry forward his values of love and resilience. He was a proud grandfather to Wanda, Alex, Charlene, Lizmarie, Naiomi, Nicole, Ashley, and a great-grandfather to ten precious children who will forever remember his gentle presence. Pablo was also deeply connected to his sisters, Lucy Agron and Auria Rivera, who stood by his side with unwavering support and affection.
Though his parents, Victor and Juana Agron, along with many brothers and sisters, have gone before him, their memory shines brightly in Pablo’s story, woven into the fabric of his life’s journey. Their love and guidance helped shape the man who touched so many hearts.
A graveside service to honor Pablo’s memory will be held on May 20, 2026, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, located at 2461 Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY 14612. It will be a moment for family, friends, and all who loved him to come together beneath the open sky and bid farewell to a man whose spirit was as enduring as the tree that sheltered his quiet moments of joy.
Pablo Agron’s life reminds us that true happiness is found in the company of those we love, in the music that moves our souls, and in the simple pleasures that make each day meaningful. His memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who were blessed to know him.
