Patrice Ann Wofford

Patrice Ann Stephans Wofford, age 63, of Greece, New York, Passed away on September 30, 2021 in Rochester, New York.

A commemoration & Celebration of Patti's life will be held Monday, October 11, 2021, 3pm via streaming service.

Patti was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, to Betty & Thomas Stephans. She went to elementary & high school in Greenville, Tennessee. She then attended, & graduated from, The University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science degree. She then earned post graduate degrees from Appalachian State University & Indiana State University. She then began a career in higher education, becoming The Dean of Students at two separate colleges.

Patti met Kenneth O. Wofford, Jr. in 1999, & moved to Rochester, New York. Patti & Ken were married in the year 2000. Patti decided a career move was also in order, so she transitioned from higher education to a corporate career with Harris Interactive, Rochester, New York(later acquired by Nielsen Corporation).

Patti is survived by her husband, Ken; two daughters, Christina of Brockport, New York & Angela of Richmond, Virginia; four grandchildren, Omar, Kianna, Cheyenne, & Julius; a sister Deborah (Ed Yingling); a brother, Thomas Jr.; & parents, Betty & Thomas, Sr.

Patti was the consummate mentor, she showed us all how to live by her example. She was absolutely inspirational, she was our shepherd, our pilot, & our anchor. The love she shared with Ken was like one out of a story book, & she was so devoted to her family. She was our moral compass & our best friend. Her life was lived with love & inclusion for all. She made friends wherever she went.

Patti was one of the most creative people ever. She was a virtual idea generator.

Her passing has left a void that can never be filled. We are heartbroken.
