Passed away peacefully on Monday, June 29, 2026.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, Philip and Mary Rivers.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kimberly Rivers; his children, Jason (Danielle) Rivers, Nicholas Rivers, and Ethan Rivers; his cherished granddaughter, Lillith; his sister, Ann (Daniel) Davison; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Paul had a lifelong passion for music and played guitar for more than 50 years. He shared his talent by performing at coffee houses, pubs, and nursing homes, bringing joy to countless people through his music. He generously volunteered his time to entertain residents at local nursing facilities and enjoyed teaching private guitar lessons from his home, inspiring many aspiring musicians.
Above all, Paul was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, caring brother, and cherished uncle. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the music he shared with others. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
The family will receive friends 3-6pm Thursday July 9, 2026 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. (west of Long Pond Rd.) A Memorial Service will follow at 6pm in the chapel of the funeral home.
On Friday morning at 9:45am assemble at the Dewey Ave. gate of Holy Sepulchre Cemetery for a graveside service at 10am.
