Greece: Died peacefully on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at age 77. He was predeceased by his parents, Harold "Shifty" and Alicia Gears; brother, Robert H. Gears; sister, Marjorie Gillette. Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Virginia Gears; children, Steven (Diane) Gears, Bryan (Janet) Gears, Lisa (Kevin) Glennon, Linda (Michael) Daley; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Paul was a Eastman Kodak retiree after 35 years of service.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, September 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday 10:30 AM at Holy Name of Jesus Church. Private Interment.
He will always be remembered as "The Candy Man".
