Phillip Roger "Phil" Knights, 70, of Williamson, New York, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025. Born on September 27, 1955, in Sodus, New York, Phil lived a life marked by devotion to his family, steadfast faith, and a quiet strength that touched all who knew him.
A 1974 graduate of Wayne Central High School, Phil went on to dedicate over four decades to his profession as an HVAC technician. For 42 years, he applied his skills with diligence and integrity, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike.
Phil’s life was deeply rooted in faith. A devoted follower of Christ, he attended Living Word Assembly of God for the past 20 years. His compassion, humility, and gentle spirit were evident in every aspect of his life. Whether through a kind word or a helping hand, Phil consistently demonstrated his love for the Lord and others.
Family was at the heart of everything Phil did. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Mitzi; daughter Rebecca (Josh) Frechette; son Brian Knights; and cherished grandchildren Kolby, Kamden, and Kendyl Frechette. He also leaves behind his sister Alberta (Eugene) Johnson; sisters-in-law Terrie Mayka and Karen Knights; brothers-in-law Timothy (Karen) Neeper, Theodore Kenyon, Stephen (Vivian) Kenyon, and Frederick Kenyon; as well as several nieces and nephews. His loyal beagle companion Dodger was always by his side.
Phil was predeceased by his parents Franklin and Arlene Knights; brothers Thomas, Franklin, and Harry; and sisters Alma, Florence, and Clara.
Outside of work and church life, Phil found joy on the golf course as an avid golfer. He was a passionate fan of both the San Francisco Giants and Dallas Cowboys—teams he followed faithfully throughout the years. One of his greatest pleasures was watching his grandchildren participate in their sporting events; he took immense pride in their accomplishments.
Phil’s legacy is one of unwavering faithfulness—to God, to family, and to the values he held dear. His presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.
May Phil’s memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire lives grounded in love and grace. A Memorial Service will be held on January 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Living Word Assembly of God, 2344 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519. Luncheon immediately following.
