Phillip J. Wischmeyer May 30, 2025 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Phil Wischmeyer, a devoted husband, adoring father, and great son, brother and friend. He passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025 at the age of 44, after a courageous fight against brain cancer. Throughout the last year and a half, Phil did not let the cancer diagnosis stop him and he lived his life to the fullest for his family and friends. He loved being outdoors, golfing, going for hikes, playing and coaching baseball for his kids, even just mowing the lawn and snow blowing the driveway. He was an all around great man with a warm, friendly spirit, who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Phil is survived by his wife of 15 years, Melissa Wischmeyer (DiVincenzo); sons, Ethan and Maxwell; parents, Paul and Barbara; brothers, Scott (Michelle), Steven, and Eric (Jessica); in-laws, Frank and Patricia DiVincenzo; sister in law, Vanessa (Tommy) McDonald; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his grandparents: Eileen Wischmeyer, Charles and Jacqueline Weidenborner. Calling hours will be held at Spencerport United Methodist Church, Sunday, June 8th from 2-5 pm. The service will be held at the same location on Monday, June 9th at 11:00 am. The service will be streamed on Zoom as well. The link is located at www.spencerportumc.org . In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Phil’s honor to the Glioblastoma Foundation and Aurora House.
