Ralph A. Nicholas III

Ralph A. Nicholas III, 77, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 27, 2026 after a long illness.

He was born on December 27, 1948, in Niagara Falls, New York, the only child of the late Ralph (II) and Jenny Nicholas. He is survived by his wife, Elaine, two children, Sarah (Martin) and Daniel, and six grandchildren, Maya, Sagan, Anya, Eliot, Tyler, and Brayden.

Ralph was an Eagle Scout who later served as an M.P. in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. He attended DeVry Institute in Chicago, IL, then settled in Rochester, NY to work in Research and Development at Eastman Kodak. He married Elaine in 1975 and they raised their two children in Greece, NY. Later, Ralph completed a bachelor’s degree in safety engineering and continued to work at Kodak as a Safety Engineer until his retirement. Ralph enjoyed camping, hunting, gardening, and rooting for the Buffalo Bills.

The family will receive friends 10am Saturday morning July 25, 2026 at Saint Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, 1000 N Greece Rd, Rochester, NY 14626 for his mass of Christian burial.
