Predeceased by his mother, Mercedes Pena.

He is survived by his children, Ramon A., Ramon G., Ramon E. Jr. Yissette Rivas. The mother of his children, Liliana Rivas. Grandchildren, John-Eric, Lisandra, Joycelyn (Bianca), Adriana, Joel, Jonathan, Sebastian and Garbriel. Great Grandchildren, Gianalis, Ava, Jayden. Brother, Manuel Pena. Many other extended family members and dear friends.

Beloved father, grandfather, and friend. He dedicated so many years to creating spaces where the Hispanic community in Rochester, NY could come together, enjoy music, and share in the joy of dancing—including places like Quisqueya, Paradise, and Yisandra’s, which became part of that shared celebration of culture and community.

He loved his family deeply and showed it in his own way every single day. While our hearts ache as we say goodbye, we find comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering.

See you soon, Papi (Papa)! We love you.

Amado padre, abuelo y amigo. Dedicó muchos años de su vida a crear espacios donde la comunidad hispana de Rochester, NY pudiera reunirse, disfrutar de la música y compartir la alegría del baile, incluyendo lugares como Quisqueya, Paradise y Yisandra’s, que se convirtieron en parte de esa celebración compartida de cultura y comunidad.

Amó profundamente a su familia y lo demostró a su manera cada día. Aunque nos duele despedirnos, encontramos consuelo en saber que ya no está sufriendo.

Hasta pronto, Papi (Papá) Te queremos.

The family will receive friends 12-2pm Saturday May 9, 2026 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 26236 Ridgeway Ave. (west of Long Pond Rd.) A funeral service will follow visitation in the chapel of the funeral home at 2pm.
