Richard A. Thurley
Gates: Passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at age 75. He was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Irene (Barber) Thurley; brother, Tom Thurley.
He is survived by his wife, Joan (Ayotte); daughter, Tammy (Rick) Maier and son, Rick (Lynn) Thurley; sister, Joanne Johnston; brother, Jerry (Rusti) Thurley; 5 grandchildren, Dustin (Christine) Ryan, Hayley, Laurijean & Audrey.
Dick retired from Eastman Kodak as a Lead Foreman in the Papermill and Salvage Dept. He was a lifetime member of The Gates Fire Dept. for 55 years. He also served as a part-time Dog Warden for the Town of Gates for 18 years. He proudly served his country for 3 years in the Army.
There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Gathering with Military Honors will be held Sunday January 11th from 1pm to 4:30pm at the:
