Bauer, Richard F. "Dick"
Greece: Surrounded by his family Dick passed peacefully Monday, August 15, 2011 at age 85. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 43 years, Jane Bauer; 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife, Carol; daughters, Linda (John) Schneider, Kathryn (Jay) Fay; son, Robert (Jill) Bauer; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, John and Carl; along with several nieces and nephews. Dick was the founder of Bauer and Son Moving Inc. with his wife Jane in 1960. He was a retiree of Eastman Kodak after 32 years of service. He will be remember for his love of the outdoors, including hunting and fishing.
The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the Pallative Center for Caring for their kindness and compassion during Dick's stay.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 17 from 4-8 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 AM at St. Lawrence Church, 1000 North Greece Road. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Pallative Center for Caring, 1450 Portland Avenue, Rochester, NY 14621.
