Richard Edward Hendel

Richard Edward Hendel, born on February 10, 1944, in Rochester, New York, passed away on March 2, 2026, at Rochester General Hospital. Richard was a man of dedication and service, who devoted many years of his career to the Xerox Company before retiring.

Richard completed his education in Rochester City Schools, where he laid the foundation for a lifelong journey marked by work and achievement. His commitment to service extended beyond his professional life; he honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era, exemplifying the values of duty and patriotism.

Richard is survived by his brother, Kenneth Hendel, his niece, April Hendel, and nephew, Andrew Hendel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Constance Thomas Hendel, who were a significant influence in his life.

A visitation will be held on March 7, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, Eastside, located at 6 Empire Blvd, Rochester, NY 14609. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at the same location from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. The burial will be conducted at Riverside Cemetery, 2650 Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY 14612 at 2:00 PM.
