Rochester- June 27 2017, at age 86.
He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley.
He is survived by brothers, Arnold Roy (Carol) & Charles (Gloria); sister, Helen (Robert) Maclauchlan; & nieces & nephews.
Mr. Higgins was a Korean War veteran serving as a medic with the 5th Cav Regiment. He was a Kodak retiree, an active member of the Monroe County American Legion, and a member of the Irondequoit VFW Post 16. Richard's funeral service & Interment will be private.
Donations in his memory can be made to Alzheimer's Assoc., 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620
