Irondequoit: September 26, 2014, at age 97. He is predeceased by his wives, Gloria Busch and Janet Button Griepp; and son-in-law, James Niederbaumer. Survived by daughters, Lynne (Robert) Shanebrook and Lorrie Claver-Niederbaumer; his grandchildren, Stefanie (Clay Edwards) Shanebrook of Chicago, IL, Adam (Anne-Sophie Aldiguier) Shanebook of CA, and Tessa Niederbaumer of Cleveland, OH; and three great-grandchildren; his stepchildren, Robert (Lynn) Griepp, James (Ann) Griepp, William (Susan) Griepp, Richard (Tonya) Griepp and Susan (Richard) Northrup; and 11 step grandchildren.

He was a lifelong resident and lover of Irondequoit Bay area, a retiree of Eastman Kodak (Research & Engineering), a master craftsman, boat builder, sailboat racing champion, and longtime member of Newport Yacht Club.

Memorial gathering will be held Thursday, October 2nd, 7-9 PM at Newport Yacht Club, 694 Seneca Rd., Irondequoit, NY. Donations to Red Cross.
