Rochester: Died peacefully on June 10, 2015.
He is predeceased by his parents, Erma and George Dowdell, sister, Patricia Jarvie and brother, Daniel Dowdell.
Rick is survived by his children, Suzanne (Gary) Williams, Mark (Lisa) Dowdell, Theresa Jasen and their mother, Joan Dowdell; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; his sister, Mary Catherine (Art) Doan and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his beloved friend of many years, Peg Ganley.
Calling hours for Rick will be at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. from 4pm-7pm on Friday June 12th.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Monica's Church, 831 Genesee St. on Saturday June 13th at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers please make contributions to your favorite charity, St. Monica's Church or the Sisters of St. Joseph of Rochester, 150 French Rd., 14618 in Rick's name.
