Predeceased by his wife Dolores and son Stephen Ostrye.
He is survived by his wife JoAnne, children, Marlene (Bob) McCosh, Gary (Annie) Ostrye, Kathleen (Rick) Gedney, Barbara (Dan) Clayton, David Ostrye, Kevin Ostrye, Linda (Fred) Antonio, Christopher (Edith) Ostrye and Karen (Robert) Ostrye.
Stepson Michael Meeks, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters, nieces and nephews.
Dick was an English teacher at Jefferson High School for many years.
His memorial mass will be held Monday at 9:30 at Our Mother of Sorrows Church 5000 Mt. Read Blvd, Rochester.
Interment Monday at 11:15AM at St. Pius the Tenth Cemetery, 287 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Chili.
