Richard I. Vanderlaan

Passed away on, September 9, 2025 at the age of 97.

Richard served in the US Army during WWII. He later retired from General Electric/Black and Decker.

Predeceased by his wife, Phyllis G. Vanderlaan; parents, Jacob and Ruth Vanderlaan; brother, Stanley (Katherine) Vanderlaan.

He is survived by his children, Rick Vanderlaan, Gary (Michele) Vanderlaan, Cindy Hayes-Low and Marlene (Jake) Sheetz; grandchildren, Shannon, Derek, Lynsay, Morgan, MacKenzie (Andy) Greene; several great and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Richard's funeral service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, Sweden, NY on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at 11AM.
