Rochester: Passed peacefully at home January 29, 2013 surrounded by loving family following a brief illness at age 86. Predeceased by her husband, Melvin; sons, Michael K. and Thomas M. Neu; daughter, Laura J. Casper; parents, David F. & Bertha E. Walsh; sisters, Jane Kenney, Marian Freed, Ruth Bovee, Helen Murphy; brother, Michael F. Walsh. She is survived by her son, Alan J. (Linda) Neu; daughters, Rita "Beth" Platt, Mary J. Neu, Jennifer C. Woloshyn; daughter-in-law, Anita Neu; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia (Thomas) Lancie; brother, Thomas (Joanne) Walsh; brother-in-law, Jack Murphy; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Rita was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 4100 Lyell Road.
