Gates: Went to be with the Lord Monday, April 21, 2008 at age 99. She is predeceased by her husband, Jose Luis Cabrera. Survived by her son, Carlos Luis (Sara) of Cuba; daughter, Juana (Rev. Efrain) Avila; 3 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 24th from 4-8 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., where Services will be held on Friday at 10 AM. Interment, Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contirbutions may be directed to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, Lifetime Care, 3111 Winton Road south, Rochester, NY 14623.
