Rochester: Passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at age 90. Leaving behind her devoted husband of 70 years, Gordon M. Merkel; and 4 loving children, Susan Merkel Summers of Springfield, VA., David Merkel of Forrestville, CA., Gordon M. Merkel II of Fairport, NY and Paul Merkel LaLopa of W. Lafayette, IN.; 19 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 caring brothers, Eugene and Lawrence Kastner broth of Rochester; many other loved family members and friends.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 9th at 11AM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
