Rochester: March 4, 2015. Born in Chazy, NY on June 4, 1930, 1 of 10 children.
Predeceased by her husband, E.S. Werder; parents, John & Cora Rock.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Sandra C. LaRock Bossert (Richard); granddaughters, Kristin and Kelli Bossert; Rita's lifelong friend, Eveline Mairhuber.
Rita came to the Rochester area in the 1950s where she worked in restaurants and the hotel food service.
She retired in June 2000 from the University of Rochester Faculty Club, where she served for 23 years. Rita loved flowers.
She was known for taking on many household projects, nothing too small or big ever stopped her.
Friends may call Saturday from 3-4:30 at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue where a Service will be held at 4:30.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
