Rochester: Peacefully on Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at age 92 surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold L. Mandel; Survived by children, William, Alice (David) Degaugh, Thomas, Lorraine, Linda, Mary (Burton) Turner; 15 grandchildren; 17.5 great-grandchildren; brother, George Lawless; along with several nieces and nephews. Rita was a member of the Lions Club, Holy Rosary and St. Joseph's Church in Livonia, where she served as Eucharistic Minister.
The family will receive friends on Thursday (TODAY) from 3-7 p.m. at the New Comer Family Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. Rita's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10 AM at St. James Church, 131 Brett Rd. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
